Online Discussion on UUA Principles and Purposes -- Please Join Us!

Use this link to join a Yahoogroup created to allow moderated discussion on possible revisions to our Principles and Purposes (Article II of the Unitarian Universalist Association's Bylaws).

All discussions will be done by email.  If you've joined after the conversation has started, you can review the Yahoogroup archives to quickly catch up with past conversations and then jump right in.

The Unitarian Universalist Association's Commission on Appraisal is charged to "review any function or activity of the Association which in its judgment will benefit from an independent review and report its conclusions to a regular General Assembly."

Their current project is a review of Article II in our bylaws.

The early stages of the Commission’s work will be focused on establishing a process that will maximize the input of Unitarian Universalists from across the continent. The Commission is profoundly sensitive to the implications of this review for Unitarian Universalists and is committed to carrying out this review in a way that will allow the members of our congregations to feel confident that their opinions are heard.

In this spirit of openness, this online group is set up to allow all members and friends of All Souls to comment on these important issues related to our shared religious identity as Unitarian Universalists.

This congregational conversation is part of a two year denomination-wide project and should help us successfully integrate youth into our religious community.  This conversation will allow us to explore how our congregation and the Unitarian Universalist Association can strengthen its youth ministry in our congregation and throughout the UUA.
